Mayor Apolinar Gumanid, second from right, is shown here on the town’s organic demonstration and production farm. The farm will be used by the Municipal LGU to train farmers from the 11other barangays and eventually form during the year the Federation of Organic Farmers Association. San Isidro is the first municipality in Bohol to declare itself an organic agriculture area. Under the Community-Managed Eco-Cultural Tourism (CoMET) project, funded by the Philippines-Australia Assistance Program (PACAP), the Bohol Local Development Foundation (BLDF) has provided technical assistance in training the Poblacion Organic Farmers Association and in setting up the municipal farm as both a demonstration and production facility.
