SUSTAINABILITY PLANNING IN ALBURQUERQUE
Nestor M. Pestelos, president of the Bohol Local Development Foundation (BLDF) stressed the importance of sustainability planning in a recent workshop with several people’s organizations involved in implementing the three-year Community-Managed Eco-Tourism (CoMET) project, which ends his year. These organizations include the Ponong Calamay Makers Association, Basacdacu Loom Weavers Association, and Sta. Felomena Broom Makers Association. The project is funded through the Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program. BLDF will continue to support these organizations through its microfinance facility and provide technical advice and capability-building inputs to both POs and the LGUs in the project area.
